New Here?

At Calvary Presbyterian, we know that visiting a new church for the first time can be intimidating if you don't know what to expect.  Here is a bit of information to help you feel more comfortable stepping into Calvary for the first time.  We hope you are comfortable enough to make Calvary Church your church home!

What to Expect

Worship is at 10 on Sunday. People who attend usually wear a mix of dressy and casual clothing-- some people wear jeans and t shirts and some wear dresses or suits.  Whatever you feel comfortable wearing, you will likely find someone else dressed like you.

Often, worship is "traditional," following the format in The Book of Common Worship from the PC(USA).  However, there are often non-traditional elements such as incorporation of meditation, art, contemporary music and more.  Our worship on the 5th Sunday of each month is usually non-traditional, so be prepared for something different!  See the Worship Page for more.

What about my children?

Children are always welcome at Calvary Presbyterian! As part of worship, there is a children's sermon, related to the scripture for the morning. If your children wish they can stay for the rest of worship, or they can go to Children's Sunday School, in the classrooms beneath the sanctuary. There, children learn about the word of God and God's love for them while having fun. For more information on our ministry for Children and Youth, please click here
